Metodo Classico

Marcalberto Rose is the son of a path of experiences and experimentations. Its peculiarity is inherent in the production technique. It is vinified according to the oldest technique used in the production of rose wines, very often applied in French and much less in Italy, and it is based on the addition of a small part of red wine based on white wine, so as to make the color brighter and long-lasting. The wine is fresh and fruity with a light tannic feeling.

The method

The harvest is entirely manual. The whole bunches pressing is soft with a traditional Coquard press, with fractionation of the various pressing phases and low grape/must yields. The alcoholic fermentation of the must takes place partly in steel tanks and partly in used French oak barrels with subsequent aging on its lees. A small part of red wine is added during the creation of the blend. The wine is then bottled for the second fermentation, without clarification or filtration.
